Marbles & Spheres

Marbles have captured my imagination for as long as I can remember and making them brings me joy.  Fellow collectors know that once you start with marbles, it's almost impossible to stop. 
MARBLES...Three distinct styles are emerging as of late. My WINDOW MARBLES showcase the wonderful optics of the magnification effect offering a flat facet view into the intricate gold and silver honeycomb patterns suspended in borosilicate glass.  My WRAP MARBLES feature the distortion effects of the honeycomb pattern being wrapped and stretched over the glass.  My DAHLIA MARBLES highlight the precision and depth of the honeycomb pattern deep below the surface with a marble-within-a-marble effect. 

SPHERES...Unlike most the marbles you will find, my honey spheres are created in the cold room. While I use the torch to make my honeycomb murine cane, the rest is done on grinding plates and sphere machines.  I grind and polish a solid piece of my cane losing over half its weight and size to the process. The end result is a unique optical playground that mesmerizes the eye. Take it outside on a sunny day and watch as the sun plays tricks with the fumed gold and silver cells. Each sphere comes with a light stand that changes the whole experience when displayed in the dark.
