Measuring roughly 8.5 x 3 inches, this no-drip, all-glass feeder is a major hit among hummingbirds at our house. Drawn to the shiny red/pink appearance of the glass flower, they will instinctively insert their tiny beaks into the center and use their tongues to suck the nectar out replacing it with an air bubble.

Our hand blown hummingbird feeders are designed to withstand all season outdoor elements. Made from high quality heavy wall borosilicate glass they are strong yet refined - a quality Ryan has perfected over his 30 year plus tenure as a glass artist.

The hummingbird feeders in the photos are a representation of what you would receive.  Because each feeder is handblown there is a certain amount of creative play that results in variations in color, size and shape.  We celebrate this kind of variation in that no two are exactly alike. It's the nature and spirit of handblown glass.

MAKING NECTAR: The National Audubon Society recipe for hummingbird nectar is 1 part white refined sugar to 4 parts water.  To make a little more than 1 cup of nectar, add 1/4 cup of white refined sugar to 1 cup of boiling water and stir until sugar dissolves.  Allow the mixture to cool before filling hummingbird feeder.

HOW TO FILL: Remove the cork and place your thumb in front of the tiny hole in the center of the flower.  Fill the chamber with nectar mixture all the way leaving little to no air in the chamber. Replace the cork and then you can remove your thumb from the flower center.  The feeder will hold the liquid under pressure with no drips.

HOW TO CLEAN: Add some rock salt and warm water to the chamber and shake vigorously. Repeat if necessary then rinse thoroughly with warm water to remove all of the salt before refilling with sugar water.
